On Wednesday January 6, 2021, President Ken Turner and MP Brian Masse held a press conference to call on the Government to conduct a pilot project at the Windsor/Detroit border involving Coronavirus Rapid Testing. Turner was quoted as saying, “There’s a lot of anxiety and fear in the workplace about what we face, particularly with the asymptomatic people every day,” Also, “…rapid testing would allow staff at the border to more easily identify and isolate cases of COVID-19 to prevent further spread.”
